The NSW Central Coast has a few deeper dive sites available for suitably trained "tech divers"
Technical divers have their own objectives they like achieve before a dive gets underway and to alleviate any concern,
Pro-Dive offers technical dive opportunities to suitably trained and experienced divers without, recreational divers involvement.
The Dive boat will carry a maximum of:
Six Rebreather divers
Six Twin set divers
Eight Sidemount divers
This also includes bail out systems

SS Nerong 43m
SS Kiama 45m
SS Commonwealth 45m
Tug Advance 55m
Technical training sites include:
ex HMAS Adelaide
Foggy Shark cave
Maximum dive time is 90 minutes
Minimum surface interval is 90 minutes
Typically, one or more of the following has to occur for a dive to be considered "Technical diving"
Diving beyond 40 metres deep.
Required stage decompression.
Diving in an overhead environment, beyond 40 linear metres of the surface.
Accelerated decompression and or the use of variable gas mixtures during the dive.
Now it’s important to know that technical diving can have more risks, potential hazards and shorter critical error chains than recreational scuba diving.
Certification cards must be sighted before any technical diving occurs
Dive plans submitted to boat captain before departure
Waivers and releases must be signed prior to boarding the dive boat.
It’s of paramount importance to ensure the proper training is undertaken before diving beyond recreational limits.
