 As the name implies, this program trains you to become an assistant to the Instructor. Your training will include hands-on experience with students learning to scuba dive.
During the program you will assist upon a minimum of one Open Water Class, one Advanced Open Water Diver Class and one Rescue Diver Course.
You will be shown the correct methods on how to give demonstrations of skills, several oral presentations both in water and classroom.
 All Assistant Instructors are evaluated for their skills, not only diving skills but people skills too.
Pro-Dive Central Coast is constantly looking for successful Assistant Instructor candidates to enter their Instructor Development Courses. Once you become a Pro-Dive Instructor, your skills will be sought after in the dive industry.
A very high percentage of Pro-Dive Instructors work for Dive Centres around Australia and indeed the world.
Pro-Dive has nine Course Directors employed full-time within their Career Development Centre. We possess the highest rating a Dive Centre can attain to train candidates, so you can be assured of quality instruction and professional attitudes.
After you have completed your program, as an Assistant Instructor you are able to conduct certain aspects of all courses. This helps prepare you for your Instructor Development Course.
Finally you can take your Instructor examination at PADI headquarters.
The prerequisites are easily met by experienced Pro-Dive Divemasters who have worked in the field and should have very little trouble completing these tasks. Pro-Dive Centres world-wide look for suitably experienced Assistant Instructors to work for them. You could be the specialised person they require.
 Assistant Instructor Courses are generally offered on a one-to-one basis and the applicant must have all their own authorised equipment, be renewed and insured PADI Divemasters.
You will also require all manuals, dive slates and a current PADI Instructor Manual that is available from Pro-Dive Central Coast upon request.
