With a PADI Master Instructor on staff to take care of all the logistics of learning to dive, you are assured of a pleasant, non threatening environment, where patience is a virtue and the clock doesn't run to a timetable.
Our PADI Master Instructor Bob Diaz, the highest qualified PADI instructor on the Central Coast, working full time, has over 38 years of diving experience, for more than the last twenty three, teaching thousands of people just like yourself- to safely scuba dive.
Bob has an input into many more thousands of learner divers in our facility and
enjoying scuba diving, the world over.
Learning to scuba dive is really a lot of fun.
The first weekend of the program involves learning about the marine environment with several theory modules and the rest of the day is spent in the safe confines of an indoor heated swimming pool.
See typical course format.
We have the only purpose built, indoor heated diver training pool on the Central Coast.
Our indoor heated training pool was designed for scuba training from the ground up.
- The benefit to you is:
- 1. Warm clear water, no waves or debris to upset you during your very first scuba training dives
- 2. No unnecessary time lost travelling to local community swimming pools
- 3. No parking hassles
- 4. No security hassles
5. No overcrowding by pool patrons
- 6. Above all, peace of mind that the clock is not ticking for you to hurry up and leave by closing time.
During the confined water sessions you will be introduced to the practical skills of scuba diving in the waist deep, shallow end of the pool.
Then as we help you to develop your skills, you will display your competence in the three metre deep end.
Most of the local swim centre pools on the coast are only 1.2m deep.
You can’t do proper ascent or descent training in this shallow water.
Having our own diver training pool also allows us to schedule one, two or even three full days of pool training instead of the usual one half day.
Here you are given the extra time to develop your own sense of self confidence in the all important skills of scuba diving.
Should you require extra training, we also have no hesitations to reschedule any additional pool training periods should you and your Pro-Dive Instructor deem it necessary.
The next weekend session is in the ocean where you put all your pool training skills together.
During this weekend you will complete FIVE open water training dives, instead of the minimum FOUR.
You have already mastered the basics of scuba diving, so divesite conditions should be a lot easier to manage.
This extra dive gives you even more time to become even more comfortable in the ocean environment.
Being in the water all this time requires comfortable, properly fitted scuba equipment and speaking about comfort, we only use the latest models in diving equipment, making certain that it fits you correctly, this ensures you can really enjoy and make the most of your open water training dives.
Your Pro-Dive course includes all the diving equipment you will need to complete the program. Many other dive centres do not provide the mask, snorkel & fins, as we do at Pro-Dive.
Please note; we use only full foot fins, should you want to use open heel fins, we are only too happy to supply them to you but, we request you first purchase your own dive boots.
We can also help you make a choice in selecting your very own quality snorkelling sets, wetsuits or full scuba packages at a special reduced price during the course of your learn to dive program.
You can also pay off your equipment with No deposit and No interest options- Conditions do apply.
Course numbers are important to a lot of people. So we try to keep all our in-water training sessions to an average of three to four people.
The maximum will never exceed eight people.
This allows your Pro-Dive Instructor to provide you with competent training and skill development time with their very own personal touch.
Divemasters and Divemasters in training usually accompany Pro-Dive Instructors allowing the group, greater access to diving professionals during the dive times.
Still not completely certain you are really going to like scuba diving?
