Winter holiday home of the coasts resident Grey Nurse Shark colony.
Large Wobbies lie in the cave and caution is advised as silt has built up over the years. Divers can unwittingly cause themselves and other divers problems by stirring up the bottom.
This site is for more experienced diver and one that will amaze and astound all divers, with so many different areas surrounding the cave, that when the sharks are not in their Winter residence, you will still have a great dive. The area has several large drop-offs, big boulders littering the sand bottom, ledges with all manner of marine life and of course-
This is a deep dive offering big Cuttlefish, schools of Sweep and Yellowtail, with marauding Kingfish just out of sight.

Divers are urged not to cause the sharks to become
stressed by staying out of the cave.
It is very easy to view the sharks from the reef ledge or there is a large boulder, close to the mouth of the cave, laying to the South capable of easily acommodating up to four divers.
The sharks can then cruise by and not feel hemmed in.
Depths range from 30 to 39 metres. |
