August 2009

Central Coast This Week

G' Day and Welcome
Tony and the getaway crew enjoyed another great weekend at Perisher valley. The front runs weren't as busy over the weekend so the group enjoyed a really awesome getaway.

Tony enjoyed his time down there and decided to head back down to the snow this week for another turn. He reported great skiing and got snowed in on friday so he couldn't complain of the amount of snow.

In the meantime, we experienced some awesome winter weather. With the water temp at 16 to 17 degrees, bright sunny days, wind on the chilly side and the viz has been quite ordinary one day - extreme the next.

Over the weekend we dived the wreck of the Valiant off Barrenjoey and the vis was at least 25m.

As an aside- I have been watching whales breach, Dolphins jump and a few sharks chasing the many bait fish plus, I am also getting a pretty good tan sitting on the boat waiting for the divers to surface.

Worried about getting cold!

Invest in a pair of gloves at $40, maybe a hood or a hooded vest at $79, perhaps all you need is a Sharkskin vest to keep you warm at $69 this is a great way to keep you warm.

Plus after the dive you get some really delicious soup and crackers,

No-one can open a packet of soup like I can...

It is a real pity that divers tend to think winter time is too cold for diving when the reality is, this is the best time to dive the east coast of Australia.

Now is your time to get in and enjoy the new winter water before it disappears for another year.

Dive Getaways
Planning next years dive holiday? dive holidays

Love to go on a dive holiday but can't afford the cost.

Every diver dreams of diving in warm clear water, filled with so much marine life, you imagine, you are swimming in an aquarium.

Sure, we have great dive sites at home but, you want the ultimate dive just not found off our stretch of coastline.

We have the best solution to your needs.

Invest only 10% as an up front deposit and make weekly contributions of $37.24 per week, will get you an awesome dive trip to Munda in the Solomon's with Tony in September 2010.

Munda would have to be one of the most talked about dive sites in the Solomon's, with its fantastic underwater drop offs, silent wrecks and coral outcrops.

Whilst you are in Munda- Take a short boat ride to visit Skull island- a truly memorable experience.

Divers who want a bit more luxury

May 2010 and we jet off to tropical Palau in fantastic Micronesia. Palau would have to be the jewel in the pacific ocean- An awesome dive area that rivals every other dive site in the world.

I have been to Palau three times and never tire of its beauty. Invest your 10% deposit now, then you too, will only have 40 weeks at less than $81 per week to enjoy the delights of the jewel in the pacific.

We had a great group with two great instructors. I loved the indoor pool and the first class equipment. Could not have asked for anything more. Bruce W of Narremburn.

Professionalism, that describes Pro-Dive in every sense. My family loved the experience and I am going to get all my friends to learn with you guys. Nothing was too hard and the instructors made us all feel at ease every step of the way. Norma R of Mardi
