How do I learn to safely drive a boat?

When this question is raised, we consider set standards of safe boating rules but, who is to say that to drive a boat slow is safer, when another boater is driving fast?

The Sea Schools "Safe Boating Course" answers these questions and demonstrates all the answers you require in the final exam and practical sessions.

The Fun Part

During your course, training emphasises the fun of boating and builds your knowledge of safe boating techniques at the same time.

What You Learn

Safe boating requires several very special skills to be learnt and the ability to use specialised equipment.

During this training program you will not only learn but also practice, safe boating techniques used by countless boat drivers to explore and enjoy a day on the water with, your family or friends that is sometimes, quite challenging and a whole lot of fun.

The Boats You Use

You will use one of our training vessels either our 225HP- 6.6m mono hull "Pro-Dive 1" or our 6.1m twin hulled RIB "Snappy Tom". Both vessels carry all the required safe boating gear aboard.
You may also want to use other specialty gear like Depth souders and GPS along with a radio or compass.

The Learning Materials You Need

We have several DVDs on boat driving techniques and after you have completed the knowledge reviews from your Safe Boating Manual, the theory session will become more interesting and fun.

Course format:
