How do I learn to safely drive a boat? The Sea Schools "Safe Boating Course" answers these questions and demonstrates all the answers you require in the final exam and practical sessions. The Fun Part During your course, training emphasises the fun of boating and builds your knowledge of safe boating techniques at the same time. What You Learn Safe boating requires several very special skills to be learnt and the ability to use specialised equipment. During this training program you will not only learn but also practice, safe boating techniques used by countless boat drivers to explore and enjoy a day on the water with, your family or friends that is sometimes, quite challenging and a whole lot of fun. The Boats You Use You will use one of our training vessels either our 225HP- 6.6m mono hull "Pro-Dive 1" or our 6.1m twin hulled RIB "Snappy Tom". Both vessels carry all the required safe boating gear aboard. The Learning Materials You Need We have several DVDs on boat driving techniques and after you have completed the knowledge reviews from your Safe Boating Manual, the theory session will become more interesting and fun. Course format: Our professional marine educators will, along with a straight forward presentation help you to achieve a successful result in the Maritime test. With step by step tuiton that includes the rules, navigation charts, safety equipment and how to don a Life jacket. You will also join into a knowledge review then complete the Maritime Boat Licence Test Time: 8.30am to 5 pm Prerequisites Must be able to read and write in English. Minimum Age: 12 years and over Our Guarantee to you: If you are not successful in the test, return for free until you pass. Your Next Adventure Just about any safe boating course can be taken in conjunction with the Boat Licence course. Operating a PWC requires additional skills and the rules relating to their use.
