Shore dive- Guided Night Dive
EXPERIENCE A GUIDED NIGHT DIVE
No one thing captures the imagination more among new divers than the thought of their very first night dive.
What will be down there? Who will help me?
How will I see where I'm going?
The answer to all these questions and to assist you through all your night dives is right here!
Night diving is great-
The prospect of having to wait all week, until you can dive on the weekend will disappear as night diving, becomes even more viable during the Winter months.
Just wait till the sun sets and the vibrant underwater world comes to life.
Watch the shy squid zoom about you, see the colourful shells come out of the daytime sandy hollow all searching for food.
This is the time all nocturnal animals come out to forage, you will enjoy a very different type of experience.
The Fun Part
The Pro-Dive Central Coast Guided Night Dive is a fun experience that will open your eyes to another style of diving.
Watch the plankton swirl around your dive light
Bullseyes will shine as you swim by

Other Dive sites we visit for a night dive:
When you first enter the water and drop down to around six to eight metres, you will find the return marker made up of scuttled shopping trolleys and pushbikes.
Swansea Bridge has several spans each holding its own colony of marine life,- Decorator crabs, Pineapple fish, large blue eels, fan bellied leatherjackets, nudibranchs of so many different colours to name a few.
Night diving here is a great experience when the current is slack. Watch out for the small things, blennies poking out from the rocks, small eels, octopus and small cuttlefish sleeping in the algae fronds.
Your first night dive should be at a place you have dived previously, where you feel comfortable and has easy access with good parking close to the water. Terrigal haven has all this and more.
Large bull rays swim around here at night. Look out the ever present Blue Gropers asleep in their rocky holes. The shiny Bullseyes are out swarming about and watch small sting rays glide over the sandy floor looking for tasty shells and molluscs coming out of the sand.
Cabbage Tree bay
Great little site, with a sandy and rubble strewn bottom, schools of yellowtail swim about you here at night. The Blue gropers are asleep in their holes and the schools of small ish are now out and about foraging.
Maximum depth here is 8 to 10 metres.
Special Note on all dives:
The dive guide has the final decision to dive on the day.
Please be aware weather or tidal conditions can and do change and dives may be cancelled.
You will be offered a refund or change of rain check.
