Dive the amazing wrecks of TRUK LAGOON

Truk Lagoon in Micronesia is a mecca for wreck divers. The wrecks are remnants of "Operation Hailstone" when the allies sunk enemy shipping in a protected lagoon, during World War II.

Truk or properly known- Chuuk Atoll, lies in the Caroline Islands- The main island of Weno (formerly Moen) is the capital.

This area is famous for its giant lagoon being the final resting place for more than a hundred ships, planes and submarines - The legacy of a fierce World War II battle between the Imperial Japanese Fleet and Allied Carrier planes.

The majority of the majestic wrecks lie off Dublon, Eten, Fefan and Uman Islands lying in relatively shallow water, some out of the water and others like the "Oite" "Rio" and "San Fran" will require eXtended Range dive training, to assist you handsomely, when you explore the deeper wrecks and reefs.

Representing, the largest naval loss in history- the submerged cargoes of tanks, trucks, airplanes, mines, bombs, machine gun bullets and thousands of other artefacts including beautiful china pieces are there, still to be explored.

Nowhere else in the world are there so many wrecks in such close proximity, all situated in shallow clear, tropical water. The warm, tropical waters and prolific marine life has transformed these wartime relics into artificial reefs and beautiful coral gardens.

Immerse yourself in the true wrecks and live the life, as you visit historic wrecks. Truk lagoon has been declared an underwater museum therefore, stealing of souvenirs from relics is prohibited by law.

The local islands are also home to numerous wartime relics with many on-shore wartime locations, to visit-
Plus many of the wrecks are shallow and easily visible whilst snorkelling.

We have a special Group Departure- designed for you and your dive friends to really enjoy this awesome area, something you will remember, for a very long time...
